【摘要】:Thispracticedescribesproceduresforprovidingplanesurfacesontheendsoffreshlymoldedconcretecylinders,hardenedcylinders,ordrilledconcretecoreswhentheendsurfacesdonotconformwiththeplanenessandperpendicularityrequirementsofapplicablestandards.PracticeC1231/C1231Mdescribesalternativeproceduresusingunbondedcapsorpadcaps.1.1Thispracticecoversapparatus,materials,andproceduresforcappingfreshlymoldedconcretecylinderswithneatcementandhardenedcylindersanddrilledconcretecoreswithhigh-strengthgypsumpasteorsulfurmortar.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificprecautionstatementssee4.3.1and6.2.4.1.
