【摘要】:Useofthispracticeassumes:5.1.1theglassedgesshallbefreefromdamage,5.1.2theglassshallbeproperlyglazed,5.1.3theglassshallnothavebeensubjectedtoabuse,and5.1.4theglassedgesupportallowsin-planemovementoftheglassduetothermalexpansionandcontraction.Thispracticedoesnotaddressallfactorsthatcausethermallyinducedstressesinannealedglass.Factorsthatarenotaddressedinclude:transientthermalstresses,HVACregisters,thermallyinsulatingwindowcoverings,dropceilingsandotherheattraps,increasedsolarirradiancecausedbyexteriorreflections,variationsinheattransfercoefficientsotherthanthoseassumedforthesteadystateanalysisdescribedherein,andstressesinducedbythermalsourcesotherthanthesun.Factorsotherthanthoselistedabovemayalsoinducethermalstress.Manyotherfactorsshallbeconsideredinglassselection.Thesefactorsinclude,butarenotlimitedto,mechanicallyinducedstresses,windeffects,windbornedebrisimpacts,excessivedeflections,seismiceffects,heatflow,noiseabatement,potentialpost-breakageconsequences,andsoforth.Inaddition,considerationssetforthinbuildingcodesalongwithcriteriapresentedinsafetyglazingstandardsandsitespecificconcernsmaycontroltheultimateglasstypeandthicknessselection.Theproperuseofthispracticeisintendedtoreducetheriskofthermallyinducedbreakageofannealedwindowglassinbuildings.1.1Thispracticecoversaproceduretodeterminetheresistanceofannealedarchitecturalflatglasstothermallyinducedstressescausedbyexposuretosunandshadowsforaspecifiedprobabilityofbreakage(Pb).Properuseofthisprocedureisintendedtoreducethepossibilityofthermalbreakageofannealedglassinbuildings.1.2Thispracticeappliestoverticalorslopedglazinginbuildings.1.3Thispracticeappliestomonolithicandlaminatedglassofrectangularshapeandassumesthatallglassedgesaresimplysupported.1.4Thispracticeappliesonlytoannealedflatsoda-limesilicaglasswithcleancut,seamed,flatground,orgroundandpolishededgesthatarefreefromdamage.Theglassmaybeclearortintedaswellascoated(notincludingcoatingsthatreduceemissivityoftheglass).1.5Thispracticedoesnotapplytoanyformofwired,patterned,etched,sandblasted,drilled,notched,orgroovedglassorglasswithsurfaceandedgetreatments,otherthanthosedescribedinsection,thataltertheglassstrength.1.6Thispracticedoesnotaddressuniformloadssuchaswindandsnowloads,safetyrequirements,fire,orimpactresistance.1.7ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.ForconversionofquantitiesinvarioussystemsofmeasurementstoSIunitsrefertoIEEE/ASTMSI-10.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
