【摘要】:Thistechniqueisapplicabletodrypaintfilmsandvarnishesinavarietyofformsincludingtheintactdrypaintfilmsurface,anotchedorotherangularcutsurfacethatexposesacrosssectionofallpaintlayers,apaintchip,andgroundpaintfilm.Theresponseofthespottestmethodvariesdependingontheextractabilityofleadfromacoatingmatrix,whichmaydifferdependingonthetestkitused,thecoatingtypetested,andthetypeofleadpigment(3).Insomesituations,metalsandotherchemicalspeciesinterferewiththespottestscausingfalsenegativeorfalsepositiveresults(seeSection8).Aspottestresultmaybeusedasanegativescreenforthepresenceofleadinpaintsandvarnishesprovidedtheresponseofthetestkitissensitivetodetectingleadreliablyatagivenpredeterminedlevel,forexample,afederalorstateregulatedabatementactionlevel(4).ThispracticemaybeusedinconjunctionwithquantitativeanalyticalmethodsforleadsuchasportableX-rayfluorescence,anodicstrippingvoltammetry,orfixed-sitelaboratoryanalysisofpaintchipsamples.Colorblindindividuals(protanomalousviewers)whoaredeficientinviewingredcolorsmayhavedifficultyindiscerningthepinkorredcolorofapositiverhodizonatetest.1.1Thispracticecoverstheuseofcommercialspottestkitsbasedoneithersulfideorrhodizonateforthequalitativedeterminationofthepresenceofleadindrypaintfilms.1.2Thispracticemayalsobeusedasaqualitativeprocedureforotherdrycoatingfilmssuchasvarnishes.1.3Thispracticeprovidesalistoftheadvantagesandlimitationsofchemicalspottestkitsbasedonsulfideandrhodizonatetoallowtheusertochoosetheappropriatespottestforagivencircumstance.1.4Thispracticecontainsnoteswhichareexplanatoryandnotpartofmandatoryrequirements.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Thistestmethoddevelopsameasurementofgrindingorpulverizingcharacteristicsthatcanbeusedtoevaluatetheyield,orenergyinput,orboth,requiredinagrindingorpulverizingprocess.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftherelativegrindabilityoreaseofpulverizationofcoalsincomparisonwithcoalschosenasstandards.Apreparedandsizedsamplereceivesadefiniteamountofgrindingenergyinaminiaturepulverizer,andthesizeconsistofthepulverizedproductisdeterminedbysieving.Theresultantsizeconsistisusedtoproduceanindexrelativetotheeaseofgrinding(HardgroveGrindabilityIndex(HGI)).1.1.1Somecoals,suchassomehigh-volatilebituminous,subbituminous,andlignitecoals,canundergophysicalchangeasthenaturalorseammoistureisreleasedduringhandlingandpreparation.Thischangeisoftensufficienttoalterthegrindabilitycharacteristicsthatwillbereportedwhentestedinthelaboratoryandcouldproducedifferentindicesdependentontheconditionsofdryingandthemoisturelevelofthe1.18-mmby600-x03BC;m(No.16x00D7;No.30)(seeTestMethodD4749)materialsusedforthetest.Therefore,therepeatabilityandreproducibilitycitedinthistestmethodmaynotapplyforthesehigh-volatilebituminous,subbituminous,andlignitecoals.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.3Itisrecognizedthatthetermweightisconsideredequivalenttomassasusedinthistestmethod.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
